Thank you for your revised version of the manuscript, which shows clear improvement and incorporation of reviewer comments. Thank you to Hans Jörg Laimer for a thorough second review of the paper. The reviewer is satisfied that you have incorporated suggestions from the first review. However, both myself and the reviewer are in agreement that the English language in the paper needs some work before we can proceed. Some specific examples have been given by the reviewer (see attached), but this is not an exhaustive list. There are some issues with use of plurals and wordiness that I believe will be quite a simple task to rectify, but considerably improve the readability of the paper.

With regard to Anonymous Reviewer 2 comment ("While it is important to highlight the different characteristics of the database, I feel there is no need to present every aspect of this database as percentages based on the type of hazard and attribute being considered. This makes the paper much longer than it needs to be and in my opinion does not add value"), and your response ("Concerning the percentage given in the results, the opinions of the authors is that both number of events and percentages are a source of information that must not be removed. We realize that percentage and number of events do not make the text simpler but we consider that it can be important for the reader to know the absolute values of the given data. We let the Editor select to keep or not the % and absolute values"). I am in agreement that in the body of the text, it is useful to present both the raw numbers and percentages. Please try to be consistent in how this is done (e.g., state the percentage in text and then the raw number in brackets, or vice versa). Considering you have made substantial reductions to the text in other places, I feel this is a reasonable balance once you have checked for consistency.
