Short summary
The variation in UTCI heat stress grade was observed during heat waves over the past 20 years in order to identify patterns of biothermal heat stress conditions in Serbia. Very strong heat stress describes an alarming biothermal state and has occurred frequently in the last 10 years. The findings indicate the UTCI14 h index very strong heat stress event (VSHSE) as an indicator of biothermal heat hazard.
