Short summary
In this paper an alternative to the traditional map representation of the impact of hazards on urban areas is created, so that it can cope with innovative ways of strategic planning. The paper is proposing a conceptual framework to deconstruct the map for digital disaster impact. The innovation in this concept is that it considers the representation of elements at different scales to be of different importance in the urban tissue, according to the vulnerability analysis to be performed on them.
