Advances in meteorological hazards and extreme events
Advances in meteorological hazards and extreme events
Editor(s): P. Nastos, N. R. Dalezios, and U. Ulbrich
This special issue reflects a wide range of papers analyzing meteorological hazards and extreme events mainly in the Mediterranean area, using recorded data sets, model simulations and innovative methodologies. This special issue provides advances and current trends in the considered meteorological hazards and extreme events, such as tornadoes, waterspouts, hailstorms, heat waves, droughts, floods, heavy convective precipitation, Saharan dust episodes and wildfires.

It is expected that the papers to be included in this special issue of NHESS will be based on the presented papers at COMECAP2012 and will include additional analyses and results in order to meet the standards of NHESS.
